BRANDED RESIDENCES INTERIOR DESIGN
A branded residence has to do two things at once. It must feel like a home the owner chose, and it must carry the hotel’s promise in every corridor, lobby and pool terrace. Studio Joelle works at that meeting point.
For 30 years, Joelle Maslaton Oster has designed hotels, restaurants and private homes in New York, Miami, Brussels and Brazil, with concepts from the Côte d’Azur to Cairo, and she has served as a jury member for the World’s Best Hotel Awards. She brings both sides of the brief to the table: how a guest lives for a night, and how an owner lives for years.

A recent concept: Qasr al-Nile Residences, Cairo
A full branded residence concept along the Nile: residential units, primary and guest suites, four bathing typologies, a vaulted spa and a pool terrace on the river. The palette is hand-cut limestone, lime-washed walls, reclaimed sycamore ceilings, travertine, bronze, caramel leather and turquoise glazed tile, with regionally sourced stone and custom joinery throughout.

- Full project – interior architecture and design through to installation, with your architect and operator.
Questions developers ask us
What makes a branded residence interior different from a hotel?
Owners stay for years, not nights. Storage, kitchens and daily comfort matter as much as the arrival moment, while the public spaces must still read as the brand.
Can you work with our architect and the operator’s brand standards?
Yes. We work inside the operator’s standards and give them a local voice, so the residences feel specific to the place.
Do you work outside New York?
Yes. Our projects and concepts span New York, Miami, Brussels, the Côte d’Azur, Brazil and Egypt.
